The charter, which addresses all facets of life, is meant to be the irreducible minimum Nigerians must demand from anybody who wants to govern them at all levels. For a long time, politics has been reduced to only the interests of the political class with no reference anymore to the issues that affect the day-to-day existence of the people. All the talks and fights going on in the political space are not about the people but about the political ambitions and seizing of power for selfish motives.
All that is about to change as the SNG is poised to saturate the entire country with the paradigm shift, starting from the Federal Capital Territory to the geo-political zones and then all the states of the federation.
The National flag off where the Convener of the SNG, Pastor ‘Tunde Bakare, will be giving a keynote remark with Dr. Usman Bugaje reviewing the Charter, will have political parties, civil society groups, opinion leaders and various strata of the society in attendance.
The event holds as follows:
Date: Wednesday, May 5, 2010
Venue: Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja
Time: 11.00am prompt
It is the mark of the beginning of the liquidation of business as usual politicians in Nigeria.
