Kaduna State Governor, fifty-seven-year-old Namadi Sambo have been nominated by Nigeria's President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to fill the vacant position of Vice President, following the death of former President Umaru Yar'Adua and the elevation of the erstwhile Vice President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to President.
Mr. Sambo's nomination will have to be approved by the Senate before he would assume duty.
