News Release: Condolence Message To Nigerians On The Lagos-Ibadan Road Accidents, Bauchi Bomb Blast And Lagos Airplane Crash

The June 12 Coalition of Democratic Formations (J12CODEF) commiserates with the good people of Nigeria over the avoidable and irreparable loss of human lives and properties that occurred on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway on Thursday and Friday 31st of May and 1st of June which claimed lives and properties as well as the suicide bombing in Bauchi state and the Dana Air crash in Lagos which destroyed lives in unquantifiable manner and millions of naira worth of properties on the 3rd of June 2012.

We are indeed saddened by this wanton waste of lives and properties at this critical period in the life of our country that our heartfelt sympathy goes to the families of the bereaved whom we are seeking the grace of the Almighty to strengthen to bear the irreplaceable loss. We are as well praying that God in his infinite mercies will spare us this type of accidents in future.

We equally want to use this medium to call on the authorities to immediately institute an independent inquiry into the cause of these unfortunate incidents with a view to preventing a reoccurrence and bringing to book anyone or organ of government which is found culpable.

Thanks.
