News Release: Niger Delta Youth Empowerment Front (NDYEF) Says Alleged $620,000 Bribe Is Diversionary.

Farouk Lawan |
Even
as the alleged $3miilion bribery involving Mr. Femi Otedola, and Hon. Farouk
Lawan, member of the House of Representatives continue to generate mixed
reactions from the public, Nigerians should also know that the country is
heading toward doom.
A
country like Nigeria, where the rich are getting richer, and the poor are
getting poorer, coupled with wanton unemployment, youth restiveness, incessant
cases of crimes, insecurity, a revolution is inevitable.
Nigerians
should know that oil marketer Mr. Femi Otedola, and Hon. Faruok Lawan only
acted a script deliberately written by Otedola, which is not different from
every other movie or drama.
Though,
Mr. Otedola had severally admitted he gave bribe to Lawan, but we strongly
disagree with Mr. Otedola.
Such
can not be bribe, rather a Free Will Gift willingly offered by Mr. Otedola to
Hon. Faruok, because bribes are not given in that way in Nigeria, we are in Nigeria, we should not be deceived.
And
again, whether Nigerians likes it or not, Lawan is the hero here. His committee
did a very good job, and submitted a wonderful report on the subsidy probe,
therefore, Mr. Otedola who had said his company was never involved in the
controversial subsidy, and still went ahead to offer money to Lawan for any
reason whatsoever, the truth is that Mr. Otedola acted wrongly.
The
Police and SSS has nothing to investigate because both also participated in
acting the script written by Mr. Otedola that has brought shame and disgrace to
the present administration of President Goodluck Jonathan and indeed the
Country.
We
urge the Leadership of House of Representatives and members of the House not to
give any coloration and prominence to Mr. Otedola and Hon Lawan alleged bribery
scandal, it is a deliberate plot by Mr. Otedola to undermine and distract the
House.
The
so called Integrity group in the House should suspend any plan whatsoever, and
focus on issues that will benefit Nigerians and their respective
constituencies.

Comrade
Emma Akpovoka
National
President.
