A chidi opara reports' network member in Abuja, Nigeria’s
capital city has just filed in a report that the Nigerian upper legislative
chamber; the Senate today confirmed the nomination of Justice Alooma Mariam
Mukhtar as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Justice Mukhtar prior to confirmation was screened by a
Committee of the Whole Senate.
Justice Mariam Alooma Mukhtar thus becomes the first female
Chief Justice of Nigeria.
