Our
principal Hon. Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho and the entire Captain Ihenacho Campaign
Organisation (CICO) wish to debunk the rumour making the rounds now that our
principal is instrumental to the recent dissolution and reconstitution of the
local government executives of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo
State.
It is
instructive to note that before our principal joined APGA, the party was
already having leadership crisis which was later resolved by the Court of
Appeal judgment.
Since then,
there has been ongoing restructuring of the party’s executives in Imo State by
the leadership of the party.
Therefore,
the recent restructuring of the party executives at the local government level
in the state is purely a party affair.
Captain
Ihenacho is only an APGA member and has at no time engineered, interfered,
instigated or influenced any restructuring of APGA executives at any level.
The former
Nigeria minister is a strong believer that political parties should be strong
and independent institutions. This ideology he has held tenaciously for a very
long time now.
Therefore,
APGA members, stakeholders and the general public should disregard any of such
rumours or propaganda as they are only intended to smear the image of an
innocent man.
