We have read with alarm and
disgust the outrageous claim of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro alleging that a
National Leader of our party, PDP, Chief Olabode George was partisan in
last Saturday Wards Congresses of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP that was
held in Lagos state.
We do not see only see this as out
rightly unfair but also crude, illogical, foul and a tasteless inane spouting
of a desperate, disowned and forfeited man who is prancing about in aimless search
for relevance.
The fact of the matter is that
Obanikoro whose name and pedigree are of contradictory and unfathomable
legitimacy is a rejected fortune seeker whose stock in trade is to maneuver in
dirty, squalid alleys at any cost to snatch undeserved relevance.
We know his various antecedents at
Chicago, in Houston,
at the Lagos City hall and as commissioner under the
guidance of his friend and mentor, Bola Tinubu.
The stakes are too high; the
option of a flawed, grubby, and grasping character to fly our party's flag this
time around is quite unforgiving. We will not allow anyone to sell and mortgage
our destiny to the highest bidder again.
Surely the Lagos of our dream cannot and must not
accommodate men of dubious and patently tainted character again. Enough
is enough.
We hereby call on Musiliu
Obanikoro to apologize immediately to our party and Chief Bode George for this
gross indiscretion.
A word is enough for the wise.
