U-Report: Magistrates Meet In Port Harcourt

The 26th Biennial National Convention and Delegates Conference of all magistrates in Nigeria will be holding in Port Harcourt Rivers State from Sunday 24th to Friday 29th July this year at Obi Wali Center, Port Harcourt.

In a release made available to the press by the National President of the Magistrates’ Association of Nigeria His Worship, Chief Magistrate Victoria Isiguzo, said that the theme of this year’s event is ‘Redefining the Indispensible Role of Magistrates in the Administration of Justice’.

Further on the release, the occasion which will commence by 9am daily will have the Chief Justice of Nigeria Hon. Justice Mahmud Mohammed, GCON as the chairman while Governor Nyson Wike and the Chief Judge of Rivers State Hon. Justice A. I. Iyayi Lamikaram will be Special Guest of Honour and Chief Host respectively.

Briefing further on the event, Chief Magistrate Isiguzo also enjoined all magistrates in the country and delegates to the conference to endeavour to attend as a lot of important issues concerning welfare and well being of magistrates would be in the front burner.
