By Jaye Gaskia
Nothing better demonstrates the collective nature of the decline in quality and gross failure of the collective leadership of Nigeria’s ruling class, than the current fuel crisis with the grand return of fuel queues, occasioned by fuel scarcity, itself driven by disruptions in fuel supply chain.

Article: To Build A Real Nigeria Nation; The Utmost Need For A New Leadership
By Jaye Gaskia
Our country and her peoples have been, and continue to be subjected to intensifying levels of hardships, compounded by growing insecurity.

News Report: A Massive Trove Of Data On Offshore Transactions Is Leaked
Courtesy: The Economist
In April 2016, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) dropped a bombshell. Its articles about the “Panama Papers”, a leaked trove of documents which had been stolen from Mossack Fonseca, a Panama-based law firm, sent shock waves round the world—felling the leaders of Pakistan and Iceland, leading to multiple arrests and pushing several countries to tighten laws related to offshore financial dealings. The revelations also caused a further hardening in public attitudes towards offshore finance, which had been souring since the global financial crisis.

Article: Why Government Should Reposition NMCN.
By Emeka Oraetoka
The effort of government in enthroning a functional and responsive health care system in Nigeria may not yield adequate result if the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) is not repositioned to carry out its mandate effectively. The strategic role being played by NMCN in Nigeria has made it imperative that the establishment be adequately funded. It is a trite fact that in a hospital system, doctors cannot function without nurses.

It is sad and shocking that what is called “Nigerian Army” today and its mother “security and defense” establishments are nothing but “resurrected Glover Hausas” of the 19th Century. Recall that in 1863, British Lt Glover of the Royal Navy selected 18 indigenes from the Northern part of the country and organized them into a local force, known as the "Glover Hausas".
