News Release: Lt. Gen. Tukur Burutai‘s Plan To Massacre Biafrans On Anambra State Governorship Election Day

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) through the Directorate of State (DOS) can confirm that Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, the never-retiring Chief of Army Staff, has concluded plans to massacre Biafrans on the streets of Anambra on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Gen. Tukur Buratai, who attained retirement status in January of 2016 but is still illegally imposed on Nigerians by his fellow Hausa-Fulani President of Nigeria, revealed this plan to the media after meeting with Mr. Willie Obiano in Anambra state. According to some online newspapers, Gen. Buratai “threatened severe consequences“ on Biafrans on November 18, 2017.

The DOS intelligence crew was reliably informed that Gen. Buratai plans to use members of the Nigerian Army under the command of the 82nd Division to conduct shoot-at-sight operations on any Biafran coming out to vote and to later claim that the shootings were carried out by IPOB members and that these members want the boycott enforced in a violent manner. By doing so, Buratai will achieve the twin objectives of (i) labelling IPOB a violent and terrorist organization and (ii) providing a perfect justification for Nigeria’s President to activate Section-305 of Nigerian fraudulent constitution. It will also give the blood-thirsty Nigerian Army and their Hausa-Fulani brothers an opportunity to spill the blood of Biafrans which they couldn’t do on May 30th 2017 and for which they have now officially set a target date of October 1, 2017 for the spilling of Biafran bloods all over the Northern Region.

In view of this latest plan by Gen. Tukur Buratai, the DOS calls upon all Biafrans in Anambra state to remain in-doors on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in order to avoid being felled by the bullets of Gen. Buratai’s blood-sucking soldiers. We caution that anyone coming out to vote on that day will most likely to be hit by the bullets from the trigger-happy Nigerian soldiers because they are under instructions to shoot at sight. Please stay at home and save your lives from being cut down by Gen. Buratai’s murderous soldiers. A word is enough for the wise.

The DOS wants to use this opportunity to re-emphasize that Biafrans in Anambra state have made up their minds to boycott (NOT stop) the Anambra Gubernatorial election of November 18, 2017. Furthermore, the DOS hereby clarifies that a boycott is a voluntary act by an individual which is always peaceful and devoid of any violence. On the other hand, stopping an election has elements of violence attached to it. Therefore, the DOS hereby corrects the misinformation that boycotting an election is the same as stopping an election. The DOS asserts that Biafrans in Anambra state are boycotting elections but not stopping the election.

Irrespective of what Gen. Buratai and his killer-squads want to do on the streets of Anambra state on November 18, 2017, Biafrans are laser-beam-focused on the restoration of their God-given nation of Biafra which consists of the states in the Southeast and South-south plus Igala in Kogi state, and Igede and Idoma in Benue state. This geographical area is also known as the Lower Niger Region.

The DOS concludes by affirming that the quest for the sovereignty of Biafra continues because the restoration of the nation of Biafra is a divine project whose time has come and is, therefore, unstoppable, unquenchable, irreversible, and irrevocable.
Long live Biafrans and long live the nation of Biafra!!!

Signed
