His boldness in desiring a modern new North, his relentless analysis of the governance errors and the position of the so-called North within the polity of the Nigerian nation are simply too avant-garde for him to carry on.I knew it was a matter of time for the jaded old horses to ride over him and crush him. Ado Bayero was urbane and forward looking but not willing to rock the boat. Not so with Sanusi. The wheels of progress were always too loud for his ears t ignore. His humiliation is sad but it makes the burden of the North's motions toward a more open society more onerous...
